Although Velvet Teddy is described as a rich toned beige, what I see is light brown and pink mixed into the mix.

After wearing Velvet Teddy a few times, I’m sold – it’s a light olive MAC lipstick.

If you have medium to dark skin, this might work, but you’ll need to redefine your lips with a darker lip liner.

For a good MAC lipstick and lip combo using Velvet Teddy, I’d go for Chestnut, Cork or Soar.

Honestly, I never liked MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick, but that’s because it just didn’t suit me.

However, MAC is the best nude lipstick for many people, from fair olive skin to very blonde girls, but I found Kinda Sexy to be too light coral.

If you have an olive skin tone, I would only recommend if you are really fair and wear a bronzer with it to match the orange undertone a bit more.

If you’re darker, I’m talking about NW20 and above, I feel like it would look too light on me and I’d honestly reach for a pink version of Kinda Sexy like Velvet Teddy or even Mehr.

Del Rio is another one of your top picks if you’re looking for MAC nude lipsticks for olive skin, especially medium to dark skin tones.

I think a mix of plum and brown lipsticks is always good for skin with olive or cool undertones.
