, You can choose a curated, varied range or take a uniform route. In the breakfast nook, I used the same Ikea frames to display iPhone photos from some of our travels.

Each photo is of a different situation and is a historical/landscape shot I took on my phone. Memorable and distinctive and capturing the memories of 12 different journeys, it serves as a single, monochromatic work of art. Note that it also takes up more of the wall 😉 Make the photo bigger than you think when you frame it.

Another simple “gallery” that works as a piece is the wall baskets on our porch. They are all the same but three different sizes. I immediately put them in organic form and called them “Good!” Said.

The sunlit gallery wall in our front room definitely doesn’t flow with the rest of our house these days and will soon be getting a facelift. But this is a great example of using eclectic pieces and sticking them together when mixing metals.

I have an art arrangement in my office that I call my “gallery wall” – I attached the large piece to three identical foil prints, which I folded into a large square when I hung them. Although the parts are different, their framework is the same.

Sometimes, it’s not just art that your space needs (or could use). The space was large and barren and while I wanted a console table, this one

Something like a sidewalk. I was still able to find a piece on the narrow side and create a complete “moment” in the living room. Don’t have enough desk space? You can do the same with a bench or chair!

I like putting art together as a group, especially when I want to hang something on top of the wall. You will also save some $$$ as two smaller framed pieces usually cost less than

Glad the wall basket I originally expected never came ;). – A perfect happy accident. I have many questions about these; The actual Etsy shop that printed these texts was shut down shortly after the discovery, but you can find a similar option here. The frames I chose are in the 16″x20″ option, but that’s actually the size of the photo on the rug. Actual frame dimensions are 23″x28″.

I also love finding art series and picking two favorites to set up together as a set. This is an old artwork of Zaggalari lilies from about six years ago. Here’s a pro tip – Me

Browsing Minted for Art. Although it is not easy to “mark” a set, they usually number their prints in a Roman numeral series. In the search bar, I would search for “II”, which stands for “2”. When the results are run, I check “Art” in the filter, so it only gives me art (instead of cards, writing, etc.) Most of the filtered stuff there is Part II of an art series. If you find a piece you like, tap the artist’s name and you can browse their other works. Nine times out of ten, if they have something marked II, it also has an I (sometimes III and IV).

A more involved (but safe!) way to “decorate” larger walls is to do wall art. Adding trim and molding is something we’ve done to personalize many spaces in our home, and while you can add art on top, they can stand completely on their own without any additional decor. In Eliza’s nursery we added five single picture forming boxes, but in our bedroom we added two rows of boxes across the room. We also added a trim detail around the vaulted ceiling. I had a contractor do all the work, but molding the shoes and gluing simple boxes directly to the drywall and filling them with paint kept the cost down for projects that could be assembled quickly.

There is a large wall in my living room where the kitchen cutout looks completely empty. I added a false half column to match the columns on the other side of the living room…

And added this detail that wraps under the tape around the corner to complete the new column. Functionally, it also helps clean up scuff marks where feet hit the wall; Before, a flat face would be a disaster. The semi-gloss finish on the wall details is too much to clean!

Ways To Fill A Blank Wall

Although I’ve stuck to more picture frame molding in my rooms, there are plenty of good options if you’re looking for planks and planks or horizontal/vertical tiles.

Earlier this year I just got into the world of wallpaper and… I’m totally crazy about it. I started with our little powder room, where it’s easy to be bolder and more adventurous, and I think the risk was totally worth it. I also stuck to the wallpaper in the top 1/3 while I had poured the bottom 2/3. I don’t have a single piece of spare art and now I’m trying to figure out where to put the wallpaper next!

If you don’t want to commit, there are also great peel and stick options that are very easy to apply. I actually had faux brick installed in our master bathroom toilet a few years ago!

I already mentioned that my easy and first instinct is to cover up with a statement mirror. Like great art, the size you choose makes a big difference. This mirror is 48 inches but works with a wall scale.
