How To Decorate My Living Room Walls
To the right of the blank wall in the picture above, you can see the solution I used to decorate the largest of the four walls in our living room: an art gallery wall! I used ten framed art prints spread around our media console and TV in the same grid arrangement:

My art prints are 18″ x 24″ art prints in printed matte brass frames – you can’t buy my exact frames individually (my art is framed and shipped first), but they are very similar and the same size and they are larger or check Take them if you don’t want them to be so big.
This lattice-like gallery wall can also be used on the large wall behind the sofa without removing the center frame as we did to access the TV. You can create a gallery wall that looks richer than the wall in our home office. Check out my post on gallery wall ideas for DIY tips!
Another great option for a large living room wall is to hang two or three large pieces of art;

I love this look and the fern print is stunning! For a cheaper option, see if you can pay a little more for the frame itself. Making a series of frames with continuous images is also a great idea for a beach style home:

A large rug is a great living room wall decor idea because you can fill a large wall with a single piece, adding color and texture to your space! You have to be careful how you hang the rug, because some tapes can give too much space to your room, which is not what you are looking for. I like to hang it for a more tailored look.
I’ve seen big changes to a large bare living room wall with a built-in chair, but if that’s out of your budget, a large shelf can give you a similar look! Shocked:

It also comes in smaller widths and configurations for TVs. Using two ends also does the trick:
A large floor mirror can work beautifully on a bare wall in the living room, especially if it is in front of a window and can reflect light into the room. It has a very stunning and very traditional design with an updated touch, so it will look great with different decoration styles:
Living rooms often have pieces with square edges – coffee tables, televisions, media consoles, etc. So adding some round baskets on the wall breaks things up and adds texture and softness. I love the look of a bunch of different shaped baskets:
That’s where I got this basket (I’m big) on our living room shelf in NC:

Instead of a bunch of small baskets, you can use two or three large wall baskets;
I bought it to hang on the wall in our master bathroom and hung it here temporarily until I moved our furniture in there, but I really like it in our entryway! Our entryway was actually the next space I tackled; Now that we don’t have a contractor moving into the space, I’m finally ready to put up the wallpaper I’ve had for over a year. . stay tuned…
So what’s your favorite blank wall? I tend to make a bunch of baskets on my bare wall because not only do I like the look, but I think I can easily find a place to reuse them in a future home. What do you think?
