Over the past few weeks you have seen us put together the bare bones of the kitchen and Scott removed all the missing items, added new ones and fixed the old ones and I kept putting in the sand and sand . We replace the parking lots and clean the floors and put the lights on to prepare for the Paintzen crew. This is where we were a week ago. The crew turned up pretty early last Monday morning and set off on a short 10 minute hike with the team leader. We were relieved as soon as we met him. he is incredibly friendly and his whole team spoke to us kindly and politely. We offer colors including gloss white for ceilings (flat) and paneling (half gloss). Paintzen gave us an estimate ahead of time of how many gallons we would need so we could be sure we had them all on hand.

My irrational fear was that the painters hadn’t properly protected the floors, cabinets and doors, but how stupid could I be? Every last centimeter of tile is hammered and covered with paper, and plastic sheets are spread throughout the kitchen. We repainted all the doors last time, but they kept chipping and scratching during the renovation. In addition to the heat the heat drove the door and we had to cut 1/4″ on the side. (What we learned after 3 months of “living” ourselves down there!) I touched them here and there, but when the artists passed, they touched a place that we have not yet received and this place is looked at again brand. new!
All windows that do not have openings still need shading (we chose motor shades as we did!) But now, let’s look at how bright and fresh the garden is.

Paint Colors By Collection
Sherwin-Williams Basalt Powder is the perfect light and airy color to help refresh any old room and give it a fresh and easy update! Here’s how we updated my parent’s bedroom using this color as the base color, plus Quixotic Plum for the accent wall.
Today I’m posting a project that wasn’t from my house…which means you’ll eventually see some colors here 😉 I’m sharing my mom and dad’s home update and these two saw their colors in the eye, in particular. yellow.
They’ve been around our new house helping us organize things and every time they’re done, my mom says, “I want to redo my house!” (Well, it used to be a bedroom, kitchen, and living room, but today we live in a bedroom.) They haven’t done anything in that room since they moved in. ‘home in 2005?
The Colors We Live With — Chaletmomma
As you can see, it took a little help. I don’t know what it is about bedrooms…they tend to be the neglected part of the house. With lavender walls and lace curtains, this room needs some love! After talking to her mom about what she wanted to do and browsing Pinterest, she came up with some ideas.
She still wants to be a woman, but she doesn’t want to be like an old single woman with seven cats who lives there. Just this time, he said. Now, I’m not a designer, but I think I can help him. In a situation like this, I knew that only a few coats would make this room so much better, so we got to work with color.
Boys, here we go. Lavender walls, an old fan, a bedside table that isn’t even a bedside table, big and big steel furniture and lots and lots of it.
One Room Challenge (week 4): Paint And Building The Vanity
Full display, piles of garbage and next to the dresser is not usually there … my mother prepared for this small face by going to the closet, drawers, and storage under the clothes to get rid of many things that don’t want. Also, a lot of stuff my parents probably haven’t seen since they moved in 2005. And none of them use cane so I don’t know where it came from. 🙂
Okay, so that’s a complete list, isn’t it? We did not release the budget, but we know that we want to make it as low as possible, so let’s talk about how we did in each part of the change. Another is painting.
I really liked this painting, especially because my mother wanted one that was bright purple. I’m not a general color girl…but it’s fun to paint with beautiful colors. It’s Quijote Plum by Sherwin-Williams Eggshell. We decided to make Quijote Plum on the wall where the TV will be open and tied to the cabinet. We also want to do it on the wall and the window behind the bed.
Agreeable Gray Coordinating Colors
The first coat was a little scary after it dried and I was a little worried that I might end up needing three coats. But the second coat removed the coating and improved the color. Always remember to keep the case and color deep for at least a second coat! So is the Tricorn Black wall in our room.
For the rest of the room, we chose a gray color, Sherwin-Williams Basalt Powderin. It’s a lot of square footage to cover, so we really wanted something really light and bright to brighten up the room.
