Behr Neutral Beige Paint Colors – I’m sharing my top tips on how to choose the perfect nail polish color and my top five picks for neutrals!

When building a new home or starting a renovation/remodeling of a room, the list of decisions you have to make can sometimes seem overwhelming. Cabinets, lighting, flooring, paint colors, upgrades, decor options… and the list goes on.

By starting with a good base color, you can always add complementary accent colors along the way to reduce some of the initial choices you have to make when building or remodeling a room.

If choosing a paint color seems difficult, try some of these tips and tricks to visualize how the color will look in your home.

If any of these colors are too saturated for you, just ask the company to make your color 75% or 50% saturated (or whatever ratio you want). This keeps the tone and color even, but only brightens it up.

I paint our entire house in neutral colors and am often asked what modern neutral colors are. In an effort to show you a good comparison of the colors I chose to use and where they are in the house, check out this blog post about the colors in our house!

Well, when I say best – these are the best I’ve used. I try to make quick color decisions and it often pays off. I also want to talk about painting a room in this post to give you my favorite tricks (hint – buying a spray paint will be the best decision you ever made).

When we moved into our house I decided to paint everything Behr – Irish Mist because I painted our last house the same color and loved it. Technically it’s grey, but as you can see on the watch it’s not grey. In our house, along with the dining room and office, the main floor, hallway, bedroom and children’s bathroom are painted this color. The Best Warm And Cool White Paint Colors — Aratari At Home

Well, this is a Valspar paint I think, but it’s easily the perfect Behr paint at Home Depot. When we moved in, the previous owners built a few things in this color, so I went with it and loved it. Du Jour was used in the house in several ways – one is decoration. Most of our decor has now been changed to Du Jour (including doors and such). I painted the fireplace in Du Jour as well as the built-ins. The dining room, office (and built-in offices) are also in Du Jour. It’s a great white that isn’t too harsh!

So, I don’t have any samples of Dolphin Fin in this house, but I used it a lot in our last house, and I obviously had pregnancy brain when I painted the boys’ room a few years ago. Actually – when I couldn’t find the color in their room, I thought it was that color. It’s on the same color chart as Irish fog, so it’s a good fit.

That was the color I ended up with in the boys’ room. It is by no means dark gray and I love it for a bedroom color.

The last one is Falling Snow – I chose this before I painted the dining room or the office, and before I thought about using the Du Jour paint that I had previously used on surfaces other than the walls. I really like it and it’s also a nice white that isn’t shiny. This is the color we painted our master bathroom

Ok, now for some color tips before you hit the store for a matte color! My best tip is – buy a paint sprayer. Painting several rooms at once will save you a lot of money on supplies. We painted this swing in a weekend with our spray paint. We personally use this and it is amazing. It saves color and all the time. We usually plaster the walls and then spray the rest of the room!

If you’re painting anything but walls, small foam rollers like this will give you the best coverage.

I also get asked all the time about lighting our walls. Maybe I have an unpopular opinion, but I use flat. I love the flat color look and it’s the easiest to fix and I also feel like you can clean it up really easily with a magic eraser!

Breezeway: Why It Made Behr’s Color Of The Year 2023

Grant Beige is a brown that is neither too light nor too dark thanks to an average LRV of 56.65 (find out more about LRV here). And despite what the name suggests, Grant Beige really is “tan” because it doesn’t have the typical golden beige look. In fact, in a north-facing room, Grant Beige can even hint at a bit of grey.

Bennington Gray has more meat on the legs than a typical beige or tan, but it’s definitely not as gray as the name suggests. You will also find that Bennington Gray looks a bit warmer than Grant Beige without too much of a golden/yellow tone.
