Order Sherwin Williams Paint Samples – One of my go-to paint brands! When I saw that they were having a 25% off paint and stain sale from July 15th to July 18th, I thought it would be a good time to share some of my favorite Sherwin Williams paints while you’re looking.
There are so many beautiful colors to choose from! If you want to look around, they have a lot on their website and they also have swatches you can order so you can test colors if you’re not sure. Here are some of my favorites.
Order Sherwin Williams Paint Samples
We can also start with my absolute favorite – Tricorn Black! We used this color for our accent wall and it was exactly what we were looking for. We use cashmere dye for a smooth finish and it has a perfect silky finish with no shine. It’s great for accents and decorations. We even used leftover paint for the fireplace surround.
All Surface Enamel Oil Base
Other dark colors I like are pepper and blue. If you’re looking for something less intense than black, pepper is a great charcoal black. Naval, on the other hand, is a nice blue that isn’t too dark and still looks blue.
These are two colors I want to try in my home! Evergreen Mist is a beautiful smoky sage color that adds comfort to any space. I also love Shade Pink, which is a dusty pink that makes a great accent for (think doors, trim, furniture) or even an entire room. I hope Lily will let me use this color in her room soon 🙂
Let’s talk about what everyone needs and it’s neutral! Agreeable Gray is a rare gray color that works with almost any palette. It has just the right amount of beige and gray undertones, so it’s very neutral and not overwhelming in any way. This is a real “crime”.

Choosing white is sometimes a little difficult because there can be so many. My two favorites are Pure White and Alabaster. Off white is a good basic white with a very neutral tone. It’s a bit warm, but goes with almost everything. Alabaster is slightly creamier, warmer. It still pulls like true white, but feels warmer in space without looking yellow. We have used it extensively for decoration and it is the preferred color for the children’s bathroom pictured below.

However… Sherwin Williams just released their color forecast for 2023 and you can see them all now. The common theme is “terra,” and more than half of the colors have names related to nature in one way or another.
The Terra theme has 4 different color palettes, ranging from soft and muted to bright and bold and many in between.
According to the Sherwin Williams website, the palettes are “inspired by the natural connection between ourselves and our spaces.”

Let’s take a look at my personal favorite, the Biome palette. It is inspired by the earth and the sky and has colors that remind us.
You’ll find color names with natural elements like hazel, horn, shiitake, raisin, and more. These harmonious shades work together to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere in your home.
Any room that exudes a sense of calm and zen is perfect for the Biome palette. Generally, cool colors such as blue, gray and green look best in rooms facing south or west. More direct sunlight will warm them up a bit.

And warm colors like beige and gold in this palette usually work well in rooms that face north or east and don’t have a lot of natural light. They provide heat and energy to rooms without light.

Evergreen Mist, Sherwin Williams’ Color of the Year 2022, is part of this peaceful palette. It’s a soft sage green that’s very neutral and suitable for any space.
Finding The Perfect Dark Gray Paint Color

Here we see how beautiful Evergreen Fog looks on kitchen cabinets. Warm wood, ceramics and woven items perfectly balance the space. And the beige coating suits it perfectly.
In this kitchen, the cabinets are painted in a warm beige color, which makes the room cozy and warm. The stark contrast of the island adds interest and drama to the room.

It has medium-dark gray, light blue and green colors and looks great with wood and natural linen. Iron chairs are also a good accent.
If you’re looking to warm up a room and add some personality, look no further than White Raisin SW 7685.
It’s a beautiful golden shade with an orange undertone that will brighten up any space. It is also the color of June 2023.

Lore is the second color palette of 2023 from Sherwin Williams. The inspiration for these rich colors comes from ancient world textiles and art.

For drama, paint the dining room walls a deep royal color like carnation. He is rich and elegant. And it looks great with warm wood inserts.
