Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane For Cabinets
Time for me to paint my kitchen cabinets! What I really wanted was an upgrade, but my upgrade money was actually invested in our 2017 Camaro 😉 (no regrets). Then, as we were saving up, our outdoor renovations suddenly became an expensive project. That’s fine, because I have so much fun tinkering and tinkering with different DIY projects in my little kitchen!
How To Get A Smooth Finish With Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel — Hawaii Interior Designer
My husband and I painted the vinyl floors charcoal and installed open shelves—but after a few years, they created the wrong symmetry. We painted the cartons with pastels, then tea (and later got a picture in two magazines!). But I wanted to change it up, so I turned the boxes into trees. Now in the most beautiful colors: a little blue, a little water, gray – very beautiful. It’s light and airy. This is probably my favorite color
The interior colors were my favorite at the time. I loved using my creativity in this space!

How To Paint Cabinets Like A Pro
For the first version I used Ginser Primer and Prime Paint (amazing!!) for the second version I used Behr Cabinet & Trim Enamel. At that time I used all Sherwin Williams primers/paints.
Sherwin Williams gave me the paint for my mom’s dining room and living room and we love it! Sherwin Williams painting is a great read, so it’s an improvement – better than Behar, which I loved years ago. But I don’t know what I’m missing! Honestly, I think the paint quality is good, but compared to Sherwin Williams, it’s watery. Anyway, to keep myself from being adventurous, I plan to buy my own Sherwin Williams paint for this cabinet makeover. Let me tell you, I really do
This paint is expensive, but the coverage is amazing, like the paint we used on my mom’s walls, and after a few months of use, the finish is perfect. I’m so excited! Although I have issues with the first book, I love this painting! Today I’m going to show you how to decorate and paint your cabinets, along with some new products to make it easy (why am I buying so soon?).

After removing the primer and polish from the cupboards, I brought it inside and made sure it would sit well for a few days (it was humid outside). The first time we painted the boxes, we did it on a hot day, and the wood expanded. The solid wood door was a little rough that first winter, and I found some wood that I hadn’t painted to refinish. It’s not a big deal, but if possible, let the wood cool down before painting.
It’s too cold to paint the garage right now so I’m painting the kitchen. I used an old fog screen to protect my screens and then invested in these:
I wish I had bought these painter’s cones before I had so many cabinet makeovers! I agree, it slips a little on the plastic, it’s very light and easy to knock, but it helps, I recommend it. I want it to be heavy and sturdy. I started with the back of the boxes and ordered first. My local Sherwin Williams store recommended this:

I’ve been told it’s the longest lasting for this purpose and the best for my clothes. Unfortunately, it takes a few days to dry out.
I painted the shelves overnight and the following evening (about 24 hours later – plus time for drying and repainting) and when I went to touch them still in my hands:
That night, while it was still attached, I slowly rolled it over and started making the ends. I scratched one and you can see that the first one still flows easily after 24 hours:

Another 24 hours passed and the first side I painted was a little dry but still not 100%, so I distracted myself by sanding and painting the cabinet boxes. I didn’t take it off, I painted it and painted it again.
After applying the first coat to both sides, I had to wait five days for the first layer to dry to paint. I was worried because I didn’t make two coats this time (I didn’t want to wait another 5 days – I was hungry and wanted to cook). But I painted and luckily the paint dried quickly. I was able to quickly apply two layers on both sides.
I like to pour paint into white plastic containers for easy access (I used those paint buckets, but they are easy and free). For my hinged front door, I drew the rib first, then the middle, then the outside:

I also stole a beautiful paintbrush from my mom, it’s really good quality! I usually buy good quality brushes but this one
Good! Using my spray paint did a good job of making these shelves look rough, but between this friendly paint and a good quality brush, the finish was very smooth without a brush.
The first week I was careful not to scratch or dent the paint. I haven’t seen any problems with the paint, but I’ve learned that it takes a month for the paint to fully cure. Today, the product is rock solid. It’s been a month since I first painted my cabinets with Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Decorative Enamel. I wanted to wait a little while before sharing this article so I could talk about the coating treatment and the dressing.
Benjamin Moore Advance Vs Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane
This Sherwin Williams Jade Polyurethane Decorative Enamel Paint is of high quality. Dry, flat and smooth! After you paint, you will still see the brush strokes, but they are completely gone! In the past, I’ve opted for a semi-glossy finish, but this time I went with a satin finish and I love the soft finish. The surface is very smooth, resists wear and tear, and heals well – no problems, even with a coat of the first problem. I thoroughly cleaned it without any problems.
I love this color (Sherwin Williams Watery) and I can’t wait to show it to you! It’s very bright and airy, but not nursey – it’s soft water that’s not gray. It’s clean and bright, but soft and quiet. This is correct.
When I was having trouble with my first one, I immediately called the store and the salesperson who recommended the first book told me that because it’s made for outdoors, the inside takes longer to dry than the outside. I asked why, and he said, “I don’t know… the date?” So I went to Google Search and checked out Instagram stories. Some actually said that

The paint needs to dry in the sun, but I also learned that due to poor air circulation. Of course, you should always change the air, because it will be filled with paint solvents, which will reduce the drying time of oil products. I run an air conditioner in our whole house, but it is simple compared to doing a project outside, so my best idea is that because it is designed for outdoor applications, it is filled with air?
However, the person who helped me was right: the first is a good foundation, then it dries up. I wish I knew it would take this long because I didn’t think of it in my plans.
