I started with SW Pearly White because I painted my dining room walls this color and I think it’s a “universal” white color.
It’s a cool white, but I think it has a yellow “hint” – it lifts it up a bit.

SW Greek filaments have been one of the most popular white paint colors for several years. It’s a timeless white with a “strong” yellow tint, and it’s a bright white.
I was planning to use it in the south-west facing dining room, but it turned out a bit yellow in that room. That’s why I chose SW Pearly White (for this room).
But I think it’s a great color for a northeast-facing bedroom, where it makes other grays pop out. It is a wonderful color.

I chose SW Origami White 259-c3 because it is the color between two popular colors of the same color (SW Zurich White 259-c2 and Aesthetic White 259-c4).

This is a good choice if you want a more “happy” color palette, and low contrast – against dark colors.
I think it works best to accentuate or highlight white accents – be it trim, accent pieces or bedding, etc.

This is one of Sherry Williams’ timeless whites and can be used in both traditional and modern decor styles.
I couldn’t find the source of the wall color (o-sorry), but you can see it blends beautifully with the red tones of the wood and wood floors.

First things first: white paint isn’t white. To understand this, you need to understand LRV.
Each color’s light reflectance value, or LRV, is a number that measures how much light the color reflects, with 0 being complete black and 100 being pure white. The higher the number, the brighter the light.

Actually there is no clear color that has LRV 100. Sherwin-Williams High Reflective White (which is one of the brightest whites you can find) is 93 years old. 80 or higher is considered white and “off white” can leave ~70-80. So you need to ask yourself how bright (LRV around 90) or soft white (LRV around 80) your white should be.
And speaking of “softer” whites, the lower the brightness of the whites, the more colors (ie, shadows) are added to soften the bright whites. “Off-white” color added color:
First, you have to consider the style. In general, warm whites help create a sense of comfort and blend well with more traditional settings. Cool white, on the other hand, can tend to be too rough and modern. These are generalizations, but a good starting point if you know whether you want a classic or modern environment.

Secondly, you should pay attention to the natural light of the room. North-facing rooms (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) have cool light, while south-facing rooms have warm light. So if your room faces north, you may want to choose a warm white color to balance out the cool natural light. And on the other side the rooms face south.
East- or west-facing rooms are difficult because the quality of light in those rooms varies throughout the day, but suffice it to say that the sunlight entering west-facing rooms is mostly orange or red. It can be difficult if the light coming into your home is filtered by overgrown trees or nearby buildings, which can reflect color back into your home.
Finally, you should try the color of the site. White colors are especially sensitive to the color of the light, the floor and the color of other objects in the space…so I always test 2-3 colors before I do it. It’s worth the extra effort!

How To Choose The Right White Paint For Your Home
This is a way for many interior designers. It is a soft and timeless white (LRV 82) with a very light creaminess. But, unlike most creamy whites, the undertones are beige or gray rather than yellow. It creates a beautiful, elegant space that is still comfortable. It is similar to Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee.
A white color similar to alabaster, but with a slight yellow tint (a little, to be honest, my husband swears they’re the same 😉 ), Selous White is also elegant and comfortable without being modern or sophisticated. Warm garden style.
One of my favorite warm whites, Duck White is a soft and subtle white. It still has a gray undertone instead of a true yellow, making it a warm and strong medium. With an LRV of 73, white is the best choice for exterior paint colors because it does not reflect the sun as much.
