Sherwin Williams Iron Ore Kitchen Cabinets – The Village Home Store has many new construction home designs and supplies in the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. Often, after the project is finished, we never get to visit the finished site. We recently tagged along with our lighting designer to visit one of the most beautiful homes, so we had to share some of the details with you. The Village is pleased to offer custom Amish cabinets, quartz countertops, and a unique contemporary lighting scheme for this stunning Iowa home by Windmiller Design and Build of Quad Cities. Sherwin Williams Iron Ore Kitchen Cabinets
Let’s start looking at kitchen design. Our Four Acre Custom Amish Cabin Series allows us to fully customize every detail of the order. Here we created a custom door and trim style for the client using a combination of Super White and Iron Ore paint. The kitchen has a banquette area, TWO islands painted in “Iron Ore” and high units such as a refrigerator and a wall oven.

A wall cabinet containing a range of drawers has a glass door frame with black accents matching the white cabinetry interior. What a great way to introduce black without heavy visual weight. Using dark door frames and a lighter interior and cabinet box gives the impression of an open, airy shelf (without the dust collecting on the open shelf).
We visited this new house during the first holiday season they spent there. We love how the homeowner wrapped the red ribbon and bow around the lower door. We’ll be sure to pin this ribbon idea to our Holiday Decorating Ideas board on Pinterest. We might even try it on display for next Christmas.
During the day, the whole house is flooded with natural light. Using white cabinets and light wall colors gives the accent cabinet area a gallery effect and showcases the built-in lighting options. Above the dining area and two kitchen islands, we used Kichler’s Armstrong series of satellite-shaped lamps.

Modern kids lead stairs to the kitchen island. The kitchen is painted white and gray with modern cabinetry and sputnik-style gold island lighting.
Each island has a pair of 6 lights, and the banquette seats have 8 lights. You can buy the Armstrong series here on our website. You can see the bold line created by the deal in the image we shared here. In the kitchen, we installed Carrera Caldia Q Quartz countertops with a 2.5-inch thick “laminated edge.”

We also installed the same quartz as a full-height backsplash to maintain a clean and fresh aesthetic in the kitchen. The subtle colors and movements in this quartz surface are an attractive part of this ideal design, without too much color or pattern in the great room kitchen space. Shown below is the coffee station area with tall wall cabinets above.

Down a short hallway from the kitchen and walk in pantry is a laundry room dream. We have to share some pictures of the cabinets we made there because the colors are so bright and fun! This Sherwin Williams blue paint is a “Broad Sky” in custom cabinetry, paneling, trim and trim.

Every corner of the new house has storage and kitchen essentials. We provide ‘floating’ TV cabinets for areas of the home such as bathrooms, kitchens and even the great room. This floating cabinet look can be great for bathrooms, bar areas, and similar structures. Add some lighting for a really cool ambient look in the afternoon. Any parent with a busy child (and a bunch of toys to go with them) can imagine that a few small baskets placed below can quickly pile up with things if company comes over.

There is a staircase from the great room to the bedroom. When we say this staircase blew us away, we mean it! This bold combination of gold and matte black thread and banisters would look right at home in any art museum or 5-star hotel, but this family can enjoy every day at home! At the top is a light from Desa, itself a work of sculpture.

Icicle & Iron Ore Kitchen
Stair lighting makes a statement, but the first impression is lighting up the entryway of our home. The “Clover” series from our Crystorama line. Two vintage bronze figures from this series hang in the entryway and foyer of a new home in Bettendorf/LeClair, Iowa. We love the profile view and bottom view of the Clover series.
The front of this house has an airy area with rich royal colored panelling. The copper and clear crystal shine and sparkle in both sizes. A smaller 8-light fixture hangs inside the airing cupboard, while a 12-light fixture illuminates the large round door.

High Contrast Paint Colors Of My Little House
Speaking of good light pairings, it’s worth mentioning that this home-made dining option is just a few steps from this entryway. Instead of one long fixture, two LED lighting fixtures hang above the kitchen table. The foam-filled acrylic balloons measure 32 inches each and are called “Astro.” This series and many other LED lighting options are available from our Kuzco line.

The kitchen has a wall of antique mirrors to showcase these lights, and we take a look at how they look from the outside of the house (see below)! The modern and clean lines of this new home call for a sleek and stylish outdoor lighting option. Capital Lighting’s two 3′ tall ‘Hunt’ sconces in black are not only the perfect style for the home, they’re also the perfect size for a large column hanging in it.

Let’s take a closer look to see how we match the lower-level space with Village products. We built the bar area using Amish cabinets with slab style doors. It simply means that the door and window material and finish is clean and smooth plate. Black Tricorn paint has been applied and the toast goes to this bar table!
